How does Lilo teach reading?
Your child learns the sound each letter makes, then blends those sounds into syllables and words. Because sounds are the key, your child can eventually work out new words independently. Understanding follows quickly, since we always talk together about what a sentence actually says.
My child already counts to twenty by heart. Why start with objects?
Reciting numbers and understanding them are two different skills. When your child groups real beads and then sees the same idea in pictures, addition and subtraction become ideas your child genuinely understands, and that understanding carries them all the way through primary school mathematics.
